Backyard wedding at Leah & Kevin’s home 20 miles north of Atlanta, they celebrated tying the knot with their close family.
Leah and Kevin said “I do” at a small rustic backyard wedding in Georgia on a crisp November day. White balloons marked the driveway leading to the wooded backyard full of trees bursting with fall colors. Hand-painted signs with messages of love decorated the altar and reception area. The bride and groom’s closest family members assisted with the preparations as the bride curled her hair and the groom suited up with his ringbearers.
The intimate outdoor ceremony provided the perfect natural lighting for our Atlanta photographers team to document the couple’s loving union. White lanterns hung from the trees surrounding the rustic, homemade wooden arch decorated with cloth and baby’s breath. The bride appeared at the top of the porch steps wearing a strapless white wedding dress covered in elegant beading. Her train trailed behind her as she processed down the rose-petal covered aisle to meet her smiling groom at the altar. The couple celebrated the union of families alongside their sons by joining four candles together to light a “family” candle during the heartwarming ceremony.
The joy and love between the couple spilled over as they laughed and kissed during their portrait session in a nearby wooded park, the ringbearers joining them for playful family fun.
The rustic backyard wedding theme continued into the reception, where guests enjoyed backyard barbecue around a fire pit catered by Sonny’s Barbecue and dug into a four-tier wedding cake by It Takes the Cake. The table decorations consisted of burlap and lace runners and wood centerpieces topped with candles, Mason jars, and baby’s breath. DJ Mike provided the soundtrack for an evening full of laughter and love. The happy couple let loose, toasting with bottled beer held in specially-designed koozies that read: “To have and to hold and to keep your beer cold.” As dusk fell, the new husband and wife made their wedding exit down the driveway as friends and family waved sparklers and cheered.
